While I was relieved to find the text for which I was responsible to be easily understood, I did find myself amused (if not annoyed) by the sudden and frequent shifts in audience. If a website was similarly structured so that the apparent audience shifted without warning or reason, it would score low on anyone's website rating scale. I'll keep this blog entry short, but I wondered if anyone else noticed this as well? Did you find it distracting? Perhaps I was just looking for something to use in my moderation! See you Wednesday.

Jake, I completely agree with you. The text was all over the place. The margins were too small, the graphs were oddly shaped (and unhelpful most of the time), and it was a pain trying to get the real information after sifting through all their self-praise. Man, I'm bitter this week. :)
I also noticed the problem: sometimes the work seemed to be addressed to future IA's (thus the question, "What is Information Archeticture?") and sometimes it seemed addressed to current IA's (and if so, why spend so much time justifying and defining the job?) and sometimes it seemed addressed to someone who might supervise a team with an IA in it. All put together, it made me want to skim.
